Express Line for international departures at the Vnukovo airport
Organization of services Express Line passes on the 1st floor in the main hall of the international airlines of the Vnukovo airport.

Time frame for purchasing premium booked tickets "Aeroflot Bonus" is tightened
Aeroflot has reduced the time frame for purchasing premium booked tickets of program for frequent flyers "Aeroflot Bonus".
From September 1, tickets must be issued within 48 hours after booking and if there is less than a week before departure - term shortened to 24 hours.

Russia: Aeroexpress and the Moscow Metro will release a common ticket
A single ticket for tourists for the Moscow metro and Aeroexpress which links the capital with the Moscow airports was presented at a joint press conference of the State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow Metro" and Aeroexpress. Terminal E opening in Sheremetyevo
Opening of a new international Terminal E in Sheremetevo is postponed untill the beginning of April. Now assembling and interior finishing works are in the terminal. The building is located between the second (F) and third (D) Sheremetevo terminals. It will a connecting chain between them and a roofed passageway to Aeroexpress building. All flights are cancelled, all museums and sights are closed in Greece on February 24th
Another general strike is going in Greece on Wednesday February 24th state employees are striking against wages and allowances reduction, some private companies are on strike as well. The main sequent of the actions is full stoppage of air flights both internal and international for 24 hours. All Greek airports will be closed in from midnight to midnight. Besides some flights of February 23rd and 25th are affected. Another sea, railway and municipal transport will be working irregularly. As for air connection with Russia, the Aeroflot flight Moscow-Athens and return flight was cancelled. It possible that passenger will be offered flying the next day. Flight BIM avia Moscow Thessaloniki was delayed for nine and the half hours up to 22:00, in order to arrive to Greece after the midnight. The return flight is delayed accordingly. The Museum of modern art is opened in Malme
Former control room of the electric power station in Malme located 10 minutes away from the central railway station was reconstructed to the Museum of modern art. Siberia increases fuel surcharge
Air company Siberia (S7 Airlines) slightly increased fuel surcharge for the flights within Russia. Unique Ice festival will be held in Norway

Colorful carnival in Basel

Airport Ljubljana will be closed in April for half a month
Airport Ljubljana will be closed for all flights during two weeks in April. For the last stage of the landing strip reconstruction the airport will not perform any flights from 7th to 21st of April. Sky Express to double the number of flights to Krasnodar
Air Company Sky Express will double the number of flights from Moscow to Krasnodar. During the nearest months the number of flights will be increased from one to two per day an evening flight will be added to the morning one. The well known Paris Cabaret Moulin Rouge commemorates it 120th anniversary. An infant museum opened in Tallinn
An infant museum Miia-Milla-Manda opened in the Kadriorg Park, Tallinn these days. KD avia made the last flight
The bankrupt company KD avia completely stopped flying. Apparently its last commercial flight was KD991, departed from Moscow airport Domodedovo at 00:08 on Wednesday, 9, September and arrived at Kaliningrad at 00:44. This was a delayed flight of 8, September. Commission for the Regulation of Air Traffic refused serving the carriers flights, which officially had a right to fly for 5 days more till 14, September the date of cancellation of the aircraft operators certificate because of financial problems. All flights of KD avia for 9, September were cancelled. The passengers are carried by other companies. Particularly, Aeroflot already made several additional flights Moscow Kaliningrad. The first dog beach opened in Rome

American air companies continue increasing luggage fees. This time transatlantic passengers suffer. During last several months most American carriers made the second article of luggage paid at flights between USA and Europe. Delta, American Airlines, US Airways Continental Airlines collect $50 for it. The first article is still free. First and business class passengers do not pay luggage fees, so do participants of elite levels of programs for constant clients. Reducing of luggage allowance at American flights began 3 years ago. At first 2 articles of 32 kg each changed to 2 articles of 23 kg each. Then the second article became paid at the flights around North America, and then the second did. Photo museum is opening in Stockholm
A building of old custom (Stora Tullhuset) in the centre of Stockholm will be a photo museum (Fotografiska museet). Earlier it was supposed to become a museum of ABBA band. Location of such object in the centre of the city is unordinary, because showrooms for photo demand a lot of space. It is supposed that the whole building about 5000 square meters will become a museum. The initiative to change shape of the State Hermitage proceeds from the director of a museum - Michael Piotrovsky. Experts opinions were divided about it. Indian authorities are going to prohibit fuel charges
Indian aviation authorities demand from local and foreign aviation companies to divide a cost of a ticket to a tax and fuel charge. The main reason is agents objection: they lose a substantial part of tickets sale commission because of fuel surcharges. Air companies pay commission to the agents at the rate of 3% only for a main tax; commission for fuel charges is not paid. Situation in other countries is the same. Indian air companies included a greater part of the cost into fuel charges leaving with nothing the agents. Olympic air stops flying to Moscow
A new Greek national airline Olympic air cancels route Athens Moscow after 1, October. This company will replace actual national carrier Olympic Airlines which closes on 30, September because of huge debts, but Olympic air decided not to inherit all the routes. As RIA News reports, the reason is a decision of European Commission, which approved this change only on condition that the new company refuses a part of actual routes. Now Olympic airlines sells tickets for October only of business class, probably passengers who bought these tickets will be carried by other companies.
Olympic Air starts flights on 1, October. It will not serve some more directions, mainly long haul ones. Besides, the new carrier does not accept miles collected in an actual loyalty program of Olympic Airlines it will be also closed after 30, September and the miles will be cancelled. European Union says no to many Russian airlines
European Union declared the list of airlines which should reduce carbon dioxide emission since 2012. Otherwise it will be forbidden to them to arrive at European airports. There are more than 100 Russian airlines among 4000 airlines in the list, including the major one Aeroflot. According to new rules, airlines from the list must begin monitoring hazardous emission of their aircrafts. To airlines which will refuse to comply with new order penalty can be applied or flights to EU can be prohibited for them.
Besides Aeroflot, there are Moscow government carrier Atlant Soyuz, Yamal, Krasnoyarsk airlines, S7, Utair, Orenburg airlines, Kavminvodyavia and many others in the list of Russian companies which can get under the prohibition. Decision to limit hazardous emission was made by EU in January, 2009. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) were against this law. A new international airport In Thailand will soon open
New international airport Suvarnabumi will be opened in Bangkok July 2006. Located in east part of Bangkok in area Bang Pli, the new airport will replace the current international airport of Thailand - Don Muang.

"British Airways revenue reports
Last Friday two aero transport companies British Airways and its discount rival EasyJet have reported that revenues of air transport industry are overtaking with price growth for fuel.
British Airways, whose CEO Rod Eddington is retiring in September, has finished his career with 36% net profit growth in 1st quarter: 176 million of pounds in comparison with 129 million a year ago. Overall growth of this second market leader of Europe has beaten against all odds price growth for fuel 525 million( 450 million expected spending) .

On Tuesday early morning the strong fog has broken a working rhythm of two Moscow airports. As the information services of Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports have informed, sending and reception of some planes here is late. It means that officially the airports are not closed and work on actual weather. In the same time the visibility at the Sheremetyevo airport is good and the port worked in a usual schedule. Domodedovo International Airport opens a new destination, connecting the capital of Russia with North America
A new destination, connecting the capital of Russia with North America, has been opened in Domodedovo International Airport. Since May 29 Transaero Airlines performs a new scheduled flight on the route Moscow-Montreal-Moscow from Domodedovo International Airport.
The direct flight connection between Moscow and one of the most important economical and cultural centers of North America, Montreal, will be available as a part of the program aimed at widening of bilateral cooldown between the two countries. The Moscow-Montreal route was mentioned in the Russo-Canadian inter-governmental air transport agreement. Transaero Airlines was officially appointed by the Russian Federation government to perform direct flights between the two cities.
The new flight has become the 35-th scheduled Far East destination and the 132-nd scheduled one.
The flights will be performed once a week by the comfortable Boeing-767 aircrafts. The turnaround ticket price ranges from $757 to $1769 depending on the ticket class.

Use of new system is planned to apply not only on the American flights, but also on other directions which are carried out from the Terminal 2.

According to the assistant to the general director of the airport Vitaly Vantseva, on January, 21 the Federal service on supervision in sphere of transport has released the special notice to air carriers that under the order of minister of transport of Igor Levitina from May, 21.006 till May, 21.0010 "Vnukovo" will not accept regular flights.
For May holidays "Vnukovo" expects to accept about 80 regular flights (about 3500-4000 person) a day.
Management of "Vnukovo" airport plans, that capacities of governmental terminal " Vnukovo-2" and the terminal of business - aircraft "Vnukovo-3" will allow to accept all planned flights with foreign delegations.
Now some companies using services of "Vnukovo" airport, negotiate for moving to "domodedovo" for the period of closing of "Vnukovo".
Let's note, that the final decision on work of airport "Vnukovo" during the period from May, 6 till May, 10 should be accepted till March, 6.
